What is Olympic Weightlifting
Olympic Weightlifting or just “Weightlifting” is an olympic sport with two events, the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. Athletes from all over the world train to compete in the event which has stood in the Olympics since 1920.
What is Powerlifting?
Powerlifting is a strength sport with competitions in the events of the Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift.
Are Strength Sports Safe?
Olympic Weightlifting and Powerlifting see injury rates well below that of most field or court based sports. With professional supervision Strength Sports are a safe activity for any healthy individual. See the chart below to see a list of injuries per 100 hours.
